Global Port Update

Global Port Update

Ports around the world are experiencing a raft of challenges such as yard occupancy issues, vessel bunching and more, creating varied periods of delay across different regions.

In Australia, ports are experiencing delays spanning up to 7 days. Whilst there are minimal delays in Melbourne and slight congestion in Fremantle, Sydney and Brisbane are experiencing congestion, which is causing delays of up to 2 days, and 3 to 7 days respectively.

Across the Tasman Sea, port congestion has improved at Auckland and Napier, with delays under 24 hours being experienced at the latter, whilst Tauranga is experiencing delays of 1-2 days.

Congestion at the ports of Asia appears to have stabilised, with delays spanning up to 2 days in Port Kelang and Ningbo, whilst other ports including Qingdao, Singapore and Shanghai are experiencing minimal delays of 0.5-1.5 days.

Across the Pacific Ocean, delays spanning 3-8 days are being experienced across Seattle, Vancouver and Oakland, whilst Long Beach is still heavily delayed at 14 days.

Yard occupancy continues to impact operations across Hamburg, Rotterdam and Antwerp.
