10 Apr Australia and UAE Working Towards Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement
Recently the United Arab Emirates (UAE) & Australia announced an intention to pursue a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which aims to strengthen and deepen the dynamic relationship between the two countries.
The UAE is Australia’s largest trade & investment partner in the Middle East and this agreement presents the potential to build on the $6.8billion in two-way trade (2020). Currently, Australia’s major exports include aluminium oxide, meat (beef, sheep & lamb), vehicle parts/accessories and telecommunication equipment, with further opportunities available for sectors such as services, agriculture, education, tourism and more.
