Long Beach volumes continue to grow

April marked the eight consecutive month of year-over-year growth at the USA’s second busiest seaport, the Port of Long Beach with over 750,000 TEUs moved throughout the month.

The first four months of 2024 has seen the port move 2,753,244 TEUs, up 15.8% from the same period in 2023.

This sustained period of growth has been reflected in rising imports as the port continues to work with industry partners to rebuild market share. According to the CEO Mario Cordero, the Port is focused on strengthening their competitiveness via operational excellence, customer service and ongoing infrastructure investments that will keep cargo moving efficiently well into the future.
