The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry has announced the expansion of the highly compliant importer (HCI) scheme which will now include the following commodities:

• New tyres
• Aircraft and aircraft parts
• Used machinery and machinery parts

This change impacts all importers, approved arrangement class 19 accredited persons and customs brokers who import or lodge consignments of tyres, aircraft and machinery/machinery parts.
