01 Sep American Airlines Suspends Flights for September & October
American Airlines (AA) has announced the suspension of all Australian passenger and cargo flights for a two-month period of September and October. This decision has been made due to the reduced international passenger caps, as well as the redeployment of aircraft to the northern hemisphere summer schedule.
As a consequence, there will be additional pressure in the months ahead, and the combination of high demand and limited capacity will likely see freight rates increase, impacting exporters of perishables and general cargo shipments, whilst imports and full ships will add to air freight congestion.
