04 Dec Darwin Port and Shenzhen Port enter ‘friendly cooperation’ agreement
Last month the Chinese-leased Darwin Port signed a “friendly cooperation” agreement with Shenzhen Port in Southern China to support a closer relationship and boost trade opportunities.
This non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aims to increase trade links between both strategic maritime gateways, boost trade opportunities and explore potential business opportunities for trade and development.
The maritime voyage between Port of Darwin to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area only takes 7 days, and the Port of Shenzhen, which is situated on the Guandong coastline, is considered one of the busiest and fastest-growing in the world and is home to dozens of shipping companies and over 100 international container routes.
