20 May Disruptions Across New Zealand Port
The NZ government announced a state of emergency on the 9th of May as inclement weather caused substantial damage and road closures across the region.
This heavy rainfall and flooding has disrupted shipping schedules at the port of Auckland over this last week. As of 10 May terminal operations were running smoothly, however shipping schedules remain impacted with vessels unable to berth and sail.
The port of Auckland is continuing to work closely with lines regarding scheduled berth windows and exchange sizes to maximise opportunities and focus on window arrivals and departures.
