15 Apr New Zealand Customs Service Fee Review
Following a review of the Good Clearance Fees, the New Zealand Cabinet has approved changes to fees and levies for goods crossing New Zealand’s border.
These changes are being implemented to ensure the efficient flow of trade and protect against the risks present in border activities such as biosecurity risks.
As a result, the following fees will change from 1 July 2025: Import & Export Entry Transaction Fees as well as Inward and Outward Cargo Transaction Fees.
Structural changes, fees and levy rates have also been announced; however, these are due to take effect at the later date of 1 April 2026 to allow the industry adequate time to make the required changes to the systems and processes involved in implementing these changes.
