Ruakura Inland Port has welcomed its first goods train, signalling the transformation of freight movement across New Zealand’s Upper North Island.
This new $60 million, nine-hectare customs-controlled cargo facility marks an exciting new opportunity for importers and exporters, saves up to 30% freight cost for cargo owners using rail from Ruakura Inland Port whilst also helping to reduce carbon emissions from the Upper North Island supply chain.
