South Africa’s wine exports on the rise

Amidst a challenging market, South African wines grew their market footprint by 4.3% in value, reaching $562m at the end of 2024, with the UK, Germany and Netherlands the top three export markets.

Whilst the market for bottled wines proved stable, growing by 4% to reach $430 million in value with a 5% growth in volume, the opposite applied to bulk wine as sales experienced a 3% decline in volume but a 6% growth revenue, reaching $132 million.
