According to Sea-Intelligence Maritime Analysis, vessel schedule reliability for the US West Coast has hit a two-year high, with on-time performance up 2.4 percentage points to reach 52.6% in May. Conversely, reliability across the East Coast decreased by 3.3 percentage points to 42.9% over the same period.
Across both the east and west coasts of Asia, vessel schedule reliability improved when compared to 2022, with this betterment being attributable to the significant decline in US imports from Asia this year.
The Trans-Pacific route also experienced an increase in vessel schedule reliability, improving 27 percentage points to reach 66.8% when compared to the same period last year.
