05 Apr Victorian Rail Infrastructure Improvement Project
The Federal and Victorian Government in association with the Australasian Railway Association have signed an agreement to improve the country’s rail infrastructure so it can form a bigger role in the national economy while delivering more freight services.
In the near future the Government will appoint a National Rail Advocate and Rail Industry Innovation Council to support the plan and drive genuine change in Australian rail manufacturing, including bolstering supply chains and building domestic capabilities which will mean more passenger and freight services, as well as increased job opportunities.
